After consultation with heads of college and seminary school, Miss (Rita) Buel is able to accomodate the request, but there is resistance from Mr. Iungerich, partly due to Theo (Pitcairn) absence. Pendleton suggests Acton meet with Iungerich.

Pendleton reports that it was decided at a meeting of the teachers in Bryn Athyn to delay opening the Schools until Oct. 2nd. Pendleton would have preferred to open at an earlier date, but there were too many difficulties involved. While Pendleton thinks this arrangement is for the best, it will be very inconvenient for him as he will have to leave for Glenview a day or two after opening.
